WHAT WILL THE CHARGES BE FOR THE ROOM IF MY HUSBAND/WIFE/PARTNER ACCOMPANIES ME BUT IS NOT ATTENDING THE TRAINING?
Due to the limited room availablity, this retreat is not suitable for couples unless both parties are attending the retreat.

HOW DO I TRANSFER FROM AIRPORT TO HOTEL?
Round trip transportation from Panama City to Alaya and back to Panama City is included in your package. You do not need to pay or arrange for transportation to Alaya. Vans will be organized to pick up retreat participants from three hotels in Casco Viejo: American Trade, Central Hotel, Villa Palma, Magnolia Inn and Hotel La Compania. You must be ready at the pick up location 30 minutes prior. The drive time will be approximately 5 hours from Panama to Alaya so we suggest you arrive in Panama City a day or more early to rest and relax. There are many things to do in Panama City such as visit the famous Panama Canal, explore the old town of Casco Viejo or take a jungle trip to Gamboa only 1 hour outside the city.
DO I NEED TO BRING YOGA MAT AND TOWEL?
Yoga mats and other supplies are available on the spot. Unless your yoga mat is really wicked with a Batman logo on it there’s no need to bring it along :) Daily fresh towels are also provided both in your rooms and in yoga spaces.
HOW DO I GET TO PLAYA VENAO?
Transportation from Panama city is included in your package. If you plan to come earlier, you must arrange your own transportation through a tour agency or local private driver.
WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE?
The weather in February is perfect, with warm tropical days and cool evenings. It is not rainy season, but in the tropics there is always posssibilty of rain.
WHAT DO I NEED TO TAKE WITH ME?
Let’s start with what you don’t need to bring first. There will be towels available in each room including one beach towel. We also provide with a set of shampoos and soaps that are refilled regularly. We might not have your favourite brand though! Please bring your required set of personal hygiene items but don’t worry in case you forget something. There are plenty of shops you can buy practically anything in Playa Venao A lot of comfortable clothes that is easy to wash and dry will come handy for your daily yoga practice. Otherwise you won’t actually need a lot of garment other than t-shirts and shorts, light dresses, and of course flip flops. Don’t forget about sunblock and bikinis!
ARE THERE MOSQUITOES?
Yes, it is the tropics.
DO I NEED TO GET A VISA TO COME TO PANAMA?
Most countries do not need a visa to travel to Panama. Some African countries do need a visa. Please check on google.
DO I NEED TO BRING MONEY?
Yes, if you want to shop and eat in Playa Venao bring cash! Panama uses US dollars.
CAN I BUY EVERYTHING IN PLAYA VENAO?
You can buy all the basic necessities.
IS IT SAFE?
Panama is safe - but like any Latin American city there are areas that are not safe in Panama City. In the city do not wear flashy gold jewelry or walk around with your bag open to expose your phone or wallet. Stay in busy areas where there are tourists and police such as Casco VIejo. Do not walk around at night if you do not know the area, you may get lost in a dangerous zone. As long as you stay in tourist areas there are no problems. Outside the city in the countryside is safe. There are exceptions such as parts of Colon on the Atlantic side. Do your research before you travel around the country. I have been traveling to Panama for 20 years and never had a problem.
HOW ABOUT INTERNET AND LOCAL MOBILE?
You can buy a local sim card at the airport on arrival.
